Revascularizations including endovascular and surgical techniques may be used to treat patients with peripheral arterial disease. The choice of method is based on the balance between the risk for the patient and degree and durability of improvement. Peripheral pressures such as toe/ankle pressure and toe/ankle-brachial index as well as microcirculatory investigations can be used to evaluate the treatment outcome.
