Blood perfusion imaging

Perimed offers two different systems for blood perfusion imaging, PeriScan PIM3 System and PeriCam PSI System.

In applications such as the ischemic hindlimb model and burn assessments, it is often of interest to quantify blood perfusion over a larger area. In these cases, a blood perfusion imaging system such as the PeriScan PIM3 System is an excellent alternative. Based on laser Doppler, this imaging system creates a static picture of the blood perfusion in the area of interest.

Features:

  • Detection based on laser Doppler
  • Visualizes spatial variations in blood perfusion

In other areas such as the study of cerebral blood flow, it is not sufficient with a static view of the microcirculation in a given region. In these cases, the PeriCam PSI System. based on LAser Speckle Contrast Analysis (LASCA) technology may be a good imaging alternative. This technique offers more rapid imaging of the blood perfusion and the possibility to combine dynamics and spatial resolution.

Features:

  • Detection based on LASCA technology
  • Real time, high resolution microcirculatory imaging
