PeriFlux 6000 - peripheral pressure made intelligent

PeriFlux 6000 is the latest peripheral vascular diagnostic system from Perimed. It includes a range of noninvasive vascular tests required for a reliable diagnosis of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) - toe pressure, ankle pressure, Ankle Brachial Index (ABI), treadmill excercise test, Pulse Volume Recording (PVR), segmental pressure, tissue response to local heating and Skin Perfusion Pressure (SPP).

Features

Accurate toe pressure detection

Toe pressure measurements require careful techniques. The PeriFlux 6000 uses laser Doppler technology for detection. Laser Doppler has proven to be a sensitive method resulting in high-quality diagnosis of PAD. In addition, the probes are small and easy to affix on all digits.

Solution for cold ischemic feet

It may be difficult to measure distal pressures in patients with cold, ischemic feet. Therefore many vascular labs routinely warm the feet of their patients using IR lamps, foot baths or other methods. The PeriFlux 6000 offers an alternative solution. By using a combined heat and laser Doppler probe, it is possible to heat the skin locally at the measurement point and avoid time-consuming, inexact traditional methods.

Customized workflows and reports

The PSW ExM application software has been specially developed to streamline the clinical workflow in an operator independent way. Step-by-step instructions guide the user throughout the procedure. Color coding from screen to patient aids in the set up. All results are summarized in one report, which may be printed or exported as PDF. Examinations and reports can be adapted to different tests.

Up to 12 pressure outlets

The PeriFlux 6000 may be equipped with up to 12 individual pressure outlets. Each outlet can be set to an individual pressure, reducing unnecessary discomfort for the patient. A built-in pump with several deflation rates, is used for inflation, providing flexibility throughout the examination.

Treadmill exercise test

Tailored treadmill protocols are available in the PSW ExM applicaton software. The exercise time, and the time from end of exercise to the last post-exercise measurement, is automatically clocked. There is a possibility to enter pain information during exercise. Data may be presented as a table and/or as a graph, comparing ABI values at rest to values during exercise.

Extend with other tests

As part of the PeriFlux product family, the PeriFlux 6000 Peripheral pressure system can be completed with additional functionality. Add tcpO2 to extend your vascular evaluation with a microvascular evaluation of the limb circulation.

HL7 and DICOM compatible

The PSW ExM application software is DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) and HL7 (Healthcare Language Level 7) compatible. Patient information (worklists) can be imported and examination results exported automatically.

Common configurations

PeriFlux 6000 is a flexible system that can be tailored to the specific need of each customer. There are five packages to start with, PeriFlux 6000 Combined Standard and Premium, PeriFlux 6000 tcpO2 and PeriFlux 6000 Peripheral pressure Standard and Premium. Additional options are available for each package. It is always possible to upgrade to another package or add additional channels to increase the number of measurement sites, at any time.

Due to Perimed’s commitment to continuously improve our products, all specifications are subject to change without notice.

PeriFlux 6000 Peripheral pressure

All noninvasive vascular tests required for an accurate PAD diagnosis including accurate toe pressure measurments. Possible to upgrade to a PeriFlux 6000 Combined at any time.
Premium: Toe pressure, ABI, PVR, treadmill and segmental pressure. Local heating function.
Standard: Toe pressure, ABI and PVR.

Clinical benefits

Why diagnose PAD with objective tests?

The diagnosis of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) should always be verified using objective vascular tests (toe pressure, ABI etc.). Toe pressures are of particular importance in patients suffering from arterial calcification (such as diabetics), a condition which often leads to falsely elevated ankle pressures and a subsequent under-diagnosis of disease.

Contact me about PeriFlux 6000
Improving quality of life since 1981

Perimed AB, established in 1981, provides instruments, software and expertise to enable assessment of the microcirculation. We utilize laser Doppler, laser speckle (LASCA) and transcutaneous oxygen (tcpO2 or TCOM), to accurately monitor and quantify blood perfusion and tissue oxygenation in real-time. Our modular PeriFlux System 5000 and PeriFlux 6000, the latest generation of our PeriFlux System, are excellent choices for diagnosing Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) or for assessing wound healing potential in your vascular patients. Our blood perfusion imagers PeriScan PIM 3 System and PeriCam PSI System, allow you to investigate spatial distribution, for example during cortical spreading depression.
