PeriFlux 6000 Pressure System
Delivering laser-based macro- and microcirculation insights.
Designed for use in clinical and research settings, PeriFlux 6000 Pressure System uses noninvasive laser Doppler technology to deliver a broad range of macro- and microcirculation measurements.
This self-contained system comes with a built-in compressor for freedom of placement — no need for an external air outlet — and is mounted on a cart for ease of maneuverability and transportation. Supports DICOM/HL7 and can be readily upgraded to deliver TcpO2 measurements.

Supported exams
Using noninvasive laser Doppler (LD) sensors, our pressure system supports a wide range of exams, including:
Ankle pressure/ABI
Toe pressure/TBI
Skin perfusion pressure (SPP)
Segmental limb pressure
Pulse volume recording (PVR)
Finger pressure
Treadmill provocation
Heat provocation
Cold provocation

Intuitive interface
You can configure your system to match your measurement needs by choosing from the full list of available exams. For example, you may need one protocol for carrying out toe pressure and SPP and another for toe and ankle pressure baselines, followed by a heat provocation. The user interface guides you through the entire process.
A flag automatically appears when the system identifies the point of blood flow return following an occlusion. You can manually adjust the flag’s position if needed.
Once you’ve finished measuring, all the data is collected in a comprehensive report, which can be securely transferred to other systems via DICOM/HL7.
Measurement accuracy
We offer PeriFlux 6000 Pressure with six air outlets and up to six channels for thermostatic-LD and SPP probes. You can upgrade to two units for a maximum of 12 pressure measurements.
A fully packed unit with say 2 SPP probes and 2 thermostatic LD probes supports a combination of macro- and microvascular measurements.
Such a configuration allows you to measure systolic arm pressure and toe or ankle pressure at the same time. Measuring simultaneously lowers the variability caused by changes in blood pressure over time, or if the person moves during measurement, resulting in robust index calculations for ABI and TBI.

Measurement prep
To minimize the number of interactions, you can prepare all your measurement sites in one go — wrap the cuffs, connect the tubing, and place the laser Doppler and SPP probes.
For ease of use, pressure settings are automatically set. You can override the setting for each cuff individually through the application software. This feature is designed to reduce the pain that very sick or sensitive people sometimes experience when cuffs are inflated to the maximum.
Cuff-deflation rates can be also adjusted. Increasing the deflation rate makes measurement faster and possibly more comfortable. Lowering the rate allows you to capture more data.
A 2-unit 16-channel configuration with four laser Doppler probes and 12 pressure tubings is ideal for segmental pressure exams as it allows you to prepare the patient for all 12 measurement sites (2 x arm, thigh, above knee, below knee, ankle, and toe) in one go. Once the patient is prepped, the system interface guides you through each bilateral measurement — delivering a streamlined process.

Sensors

Thermostatic laser Doppler probes
Our noninvasive thermostatic laser Doppler (LD) probes help standardize perfusion measurements by heating the measurement site to 40°C. Heating the skin in this systematic way lowers measurement variability caused by underlying conditions such as ischemia, which tends to be accompanied by cold feet. It also removes the need to pre-prep with warm foot baths or blankets.

Laser Doppler probes for skin perfusion pressure
Our laser Doppler probes for SPP are noninvasive and easily placed on the measurement site using double-sided tape.
For accurate SPP readings, cuffs should be placed so that the SPP probe is in the middle of the cuff.

Clinical applications
PeriFlux 6000 Pressure delivers a comprehensive range of macro- and microcirculation insights that can be used in clinical assessment and research of conditions such as peripheral artery disease (PAD), diabetic foot ulcer (DFU), wound healing, revascularization, and amputation level.
Our robust measurement technology enables clinicians to compare values over time for effective patient follow-up, and researchers to develop novel therapies based on comparable data.
Clinical research
Owing to the system’s reproducibility and robust measurement technology, it delivers the measurement reliability required by clinical research studies.
