Introducing Perimed Academy

by Jimmy Bakker (Global Product Manager)

Hands-on training has always been a core element of Perimed’s approach to customer support, and it remains so today. Training the people who use our instruments — whether they are performing measurements or interpreting results — helps our customers get the most from their investment, enabling high-quality patient care and meaningful research.

We’ve found that hands-on training is more effective and relevant when participants already have a solid grasp of the basics. To enable this, we are introducing Perimed Academy, our new online learning service that offers a range of courses, including an introduction to microcirculation, measurement basics, and practical troubleshooting. Our aim is to ensure that your face-to-face training is effective, while also providing a reliable resource for follow-up learning and onboarding of new staff down the line.

Perimed Academy provides the flexibility to learn whenever and wherever it’s convenient. Rather than relying on a single training session, you can revisit content whenever you need a refresher and help new colleagues when they join your team.

The courses combine short explanations with interactive knowledge checks. You can progress at your own pace, revisit modules as often as needed, and focus on the topics most relevant to you.

A complement to hands-on training
One of the biggest benefits we’ve seen is how online learning enhances our in-person training sessions.

Because people are already familiar with our instruments, their components, and the software interface, face-to-face training can focus on the practical challenges that matter most — such as probe positioning, managing patients in pain, recognizing when a measurement should be repeated, interpreting results, and performing calibration.

Rather than replacing hands-on training, Perimed Academy allows us to make good use of the time we spend together.

Available now for PeriFlux 6000
At launch, Perimed Academy includes a growing library of courses covering instrument setup, measurement workflows, software navigation, and best practices for obtaining reliable results. New courses will be added over time.

Perimed Academy is currently available for new PeriFlux 6000 customers and existing customers with a support contract that includes training. For other customers, please contact your local Perimed representative or contact us through our website.
