Perimed strengthens presence in DACH with a new, yet familiar face

by Per Wallén (CEO)

I am pleased to announce the strengthening of our Sales team in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and the German-speaking part of Switzerland) with the addition of a new National Sales Manager — Gerrit Hagenacker (as of November 1, 2026) — and support coverage from our agency Metesa.

Gerrit brings a solid understanding of the local clinical landscape, and many customers already know him, as he joins Perimed from our partner Radiometer, where he was responsible for PeriFlux 6000 TcpO2 Standalone — Perimed’s compact TcpO2 unit.

As announced in a previous post (which you can read here), Perimed’s strategy is to ensure long-term continuity for TcpO2. In practice, this means that from January 1, 2027, Perimed will assume responsibility for PeriFlux 6000 TcpO2 Standalone sales in all markets.

For more than ten years, Radiometer has handled these sales in many markets, including the US and most of Europe, including the DACH region. We are grateful to Radiometer for many years of partnership and for helping make this transition smooth. We wish the Radiometer team continued success.

In addition to expanding the Sales team with Gerrit, we are strengthening our regional support coverage through our agency, Metesa.

Metesa will support all customers, which is crucial as Radiometer customers transition to Perimed for support and upgrades, as well as ordering spare parts and consumables.

DACH commitment

We established our German subsidiary, Perimed Instruments GmbH, back in 2010. The move to direct sales is also a starting point for growth: we will bring the full PeriFlux 6000 range and PeriCam PSI, our real-time perfusion imager, to clinicians across the region.

Gerrit officially joined the Perimed team on November 1, 2026, when I asked him a few questions about his move to Perimed. Here’s what he had to say…

Q: What do you think is the main challenge for vascular surgeons and clinicians in the DACH region?
“More and more patients are coming in with diabetic foot ulcers and peripheral artery disease. Many of them are aging and have comorbidities. Clinicians need to make high-stakes decisions quickly: will this wound heal? Does the patient need revascularization? What’s the right level if amputation can’t be avoided? I believe that Perimed’s instruments and the robust insights they provide can help build confidence in this kind of decision-making.”

Q: How will Radiometer customers benefit by shifting to Perimed as a supplier?
“I think the most important aspect is continuity. Customers keep their PeriFlux 6000, sensor supply continues without interruption, and they maintain the contact they know. What improves is that they now work directly with the company that develops and builds the system. Questions about applications, training, and new features go straight to the source. Plus, customers get access to the full Perimed portfolio.”

Q: How will customers benefit from your experience in the region?
“I have worked with PeriFlux users in the DACH region for almost four years, so I know their clinics, their workflows, and I’m familiar with the kinds of questions they ask. That means no fresh start for anyone, not me, not the customer. And because I am already familiar with Perimed, I can help new customers to get up and running quickly.”
